Army School of Infantry Commandant Charges Graduating Students To Remain Physically And Mentally Alert

 

The Commandant Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Major General Oluyemi Thomas Olatoye, has charged the graduants of Secial Warfare Course 68 and Counter Terrorism Course 53 of 2023 to be physically and mentally alert in the defence of the country's territorial integrity. 

The Commandant NASI gave the charge during the graduation ceremony of the courses at AVM SA Dambo Sport Complex, Jaji Military  Cantonment, in Kaduna State.

In his graduation remarks, the Commandant noted that the course has developed the students individual physical and mental fitness as well as team spirit in the discharge of their duties. 

He retierated that the endurance and mental alertness achieved during the course will enable them to withstand extreme weather and fatigue, which are normal experiences in battle.

Major General Olatoye expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for his untiring support to the Nigerian Army School of Infantry and for making resources available for the course to collaborate with the Nigerian Air Force to train the students on repelling with an Helicopter which is first of its kind in the Nigerian Army School of Infantry. 

The Commandant also commended the displayed by the students during the graduation ceremony and urged them to be good ambassadors of the school and the Nigeria Army in their future engagements.

He further appreciates the Deputy Commandant, Training Team Leader, Chief Instructor Special Warfare Wing and other Instructors of the wing for maintaining acceptable standard and for their commitment in ensuring successful conduct of the course. 

Highpoint of the events were the demonstration of students on rescue operation through repelling, presentation of certificates and awards, push-up and group photograph.
