The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command of the Nigerian Army, Major General Kevin Aligbe, hosted an Independence Day Children’s Party for schools in Minna Military Cantonment on October 2nd, 2023.
Major General Aligbe’s opening remarks about the event highlight its dual purpose – not only does it provide children with a fun and educational experience, but it also serves as an opportunity for the military to connect with the local community and build positive relationships. According to the TRADOC Commander, he said “the event which comprised of a mix of activities like games, entertainment, and educational programs will enable the children to learn about the significance of Independence Day and to have some fun”.
