The acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun has decorated DIG Usman D. Nagogo of the DIG Department of Logistics and Supply and three newly promoted Deputy Inspectors-General of Police in which the former Chief of Army Staff, and the Zaruman of Sokoto, Lt General Faruk Yahaya (Rtd), Major General Abdullahi Mailako, OSMA President and Chief Judge of Sokoto State, His Lordship, Justice Mohammed Saidu Sifawa were among dignitaries present at the decoration ceremony at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
This is coming on the heels of the recently compulsory retirement of some Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIGs by the Police Service Commission, in which the acting inspector General of Police had to fill their vacancies with most senior four officers’ based on seniority of the geo-political zones and the seniority of the staff list, they were recommended and approved by the Commission.
The newly promoted officers are DIG Ibrahim Sani Kaoje, DIG Usman D. Nagogo, DIG Ede Ayuba Ekpeji, and DIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro.
Advising the newly decorated DIGs, IGP Egbetokun urged, the retired and elevated newly decorated DIGs will bring their wealth of experience as they join the Nigeria Police Force NPF management team.
DIG Usman D. Nagogo is DIG Department of Logistics & Supply. He was born on 15, september 1963, LGA: Sifawa Bodinga LGA, Sokoto State. Appointed as: cadet aASP on 3rd March, 1990. He has a B. A (Ed) University of Sokoto, LL.b Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto, BL Nigeria Law Sch, Bwari Abuja, LL.M International Humanitarian Law- Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto
He is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), and he has advanced detective courses, intermediate command courses, and senior Commcoursesurse.
Also, DIG Ibrahim Sani Kaoje is now the DIG Research & Planning. He was born on 2nd February 1964 in Bagudo LGA, Kebbi state. He was appointed on 3rd March 1990 as cadet ASP. He has a B.sc Physical Health Education, he has an advanced detective course, an intermediate command course, police Staff College, Jos: PMF Training, PMF school, Gwoza, Borno state; Strategic Leadership and Command Course, Police Staff College, Jos; Senior Executive Course 43/2021, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru-Jos, amongst others, He is a member of the national institute.
Also, DIG Ede Ayuba ekBeji is the DIG operations, born on 21 October 1964 in Kuje. He is from the Federal capital territory (fct). He was appointed as a cadet on March 3rdMarchh, 1990. He has a BA in English from Ahmadu Bello. He has advanced command detective strategic course, command course, and many others. He is a member of the professional membership: All Farmers of Nigeria
And finally, DIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro is the DIG ICT. He was born on 18 December 1964 and was born Akukutoru, Ibadan, Oyo state. He is from Rivers State. He was appointed cadet ASP on 3rd March 1990
