'We don't Take Blackmail Lightly' - Action Alliance Replies APC Ikechukwu's Allegation, Inaugurates State Caretaker Committees

The Action Alliance Party has reacted to an allegation made against the party by the Chairperson Concerned APC Women Forum, Dr Mrs Cecilia Ikechukwu who wrote a petition where she claimed to be working for defense of democracy, but which act points straight to political chauvinism.

Addressing Journalists at the National party secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, the National Chairman of Action Alliance Party, Hon. (Dr.) Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje said, Mrs Cecilia Ikechukwu's fabricated figment of falsehood, where she asserted that a petition filled before a tribunal in Umuahia, Abia state long before convocation of current National Assembly, was filed because of a particular member of the House of Representatives.

According to Dr Omo-Aje, in Mrs Ikechukwu's vague and shallow mindedness, she claimed same petition that predated emergence of her paymaster as an officer of NASS has anything to do with the fortune of her principal.

The Chairman noted that whatever figment of imagination of this mischief maker, coming from the charlatanic mill of a political chauvinist about Action Alliance party fighting battles of some non-members of Action Alliance party is mere wishful figment of a political blackmailer.

He reiterated that Action Alliance is a registered national political platform that runs its affairs as a responsible party. "We nominate and elect our candidates by due process and we stand by them through the course of their elective intents.

"As a party, we stand on our feet alone without external pivots even when we sail through a raging torment of internal treachery and external aggression. We stand gididgba anytime, any day for what our party stands for, and we do not fight other people’s battle, but ours." he said.

Dr Omo-Aje advise Dr. Mrs Cecilia Ikechukwu to be careful with her choice of Pons for political patronage, adding that, Action Alliance is a name in his political parlance that does not take blackmail lightly. "We are always ready in Action Alliance to live above board, and we do not mind the cost of attaining redress when we are wrong.

"We wish to announce to the world that this merchant of mischief should be discountenanced in this fabrication and subscribe to a better and legal means of livelihood."

Meanwhile, the National Chairman of Action Alliance, Dr Omo-Aje has inaugurated State Caretaker Committees of the party across Nigeria.

Dr Omo-Aje said the Committee members were carefully chosen to head the Caretaker Committees in various states, warning them it's a "Call to Duty". It's an invitation to function and to deliver. You shall carry on with our vision of total overhaul at your respective states down to the Local Govt, Wards and Unit levels without any waivers

He tasked them to achieve an additional 500 membership added to the party by the Committees in their respective states, noting that this fit will determine their eligibility to seek substantive chairmanship status at the coming State Congresses. "In essence, every one of you is expected to dispense a minimum of 500 membership cards within the next three months."

"Just as you have been chosen on trust in competence and capability, you should also seek out leadership teams at the lower levels up to Units in your states and envision them as well to replicate what you are being commissioned to do from today. Great leadership characteristic is in the ability of leaders to produce disciples with great minds and characters like themselves. It is expected that if you work diligently at your various levels, the states should be ready to go to Congress in March 2024." he stressed.

The highlight of the special inauguration ceremony of State Caretaker Committees is the presentation of certification and a group photograph.
