In a remarkable demonstration of foresight and unwavering dedication, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, the Chief of Naval Staff, expresses sincere gratitude to President Hajia Nana Gambo and her committed team for their tireless endeavors in meeting the welfare requirements of naval personnel and their families.
According to him, “through their consistent efforts, the association has successfully organized a variety of social welfare activities, encompassing recreational events, cultural celebrations, and family support programs. These initiatives have not only nurtured a sense of community among naval families but have also provided them with much-needed respite from the demanding and often arduous nature of naval service.”
Among the organization’s notable accomplishments, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo highlighted the ongoing construction of the 200-bed Women and Children Green Smart Hospital, a significant project undertaken by NOWA since June 2022. The CNS said, “Again, today we are here on 1.9 hectares of land to initiate the construction of NOWA event center at the Admiralty Estate, Asokoro.
“Aside the remarkable sense of foresight in identifying and supporting the welfare initiatives essential for the well-being of naval personnel, Mrs. Gambo has recognize that a strong and cohesive naval force relies not only on its members but also on the support and resilience of their families, NOWA has been instrumental in enhancing the lives of the naval community.”
