Troops of Joint Task Force (North West) Operation Hadarin Daji have recorded another milestone in ongoing Counter Terrorism operations in the North West region by neutralizing several terrorists following an aggressive clearance operation on 17th May 2023.
This was disclosed to the Youths Against Terrorism and Banditry (YATAB) Network by a credible intelligence source familiar with the ongoing operation.
According to the source, "the combat force cleared all identified terrorists camps at Danbokolo, Ila, Malam Sale, Kagara, Gangara, Fakai and Manawa villages."
"During the sweep operation,troops encountered an aggressive and hostile terrorist element, but successfully neutralized scores of the terrorists while others fled with severe gun shot wounds into the Fakai mountains, following an intense gun-fight"
"Troops however tactically exploited the general area to neutralize any withdrawing enemy, before thereafter reorganizing on the objective, the source disclosed."
"Following the encounter, troops recovered 3 AK 47 rifles, 2 magazines and 2 locally made guns and several pairs of military camouflage uniforms amongst other items."
The success is the latest in a line of impressive successes recorded by the troops of OPHD in recent times.
