PCRC Extends Presentation of Ramadan Packages to Senior Officers Sokoto State Command


The Police Community Relations Committee,  PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan has again extended the presentation of Ramadan package(s) from the PCRC National Headquarters to senior Police officers in Zone 10, Sokoto State Command and the AIG in charge of elections respectively. 

SSA Media and Publicity, Office of the National Chairman, Comrade Kunle Sodipo in a press statement said, this is in continuation of his special visits and presentation of Ramadan package(s) from the PCRC National Headquarters to the Muslim community, Police officers and partners.

According to Sodipo, the PCRC National Chairman and his entourage were received on arrival at the Seat of the Caliphates and accompanied to AIG Zone 10 by Asst. National Financial Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Dagara, Chairman PCRC Zone 10, Alhaji Mijinyawa Bello, Vice Chairman PCRC Sokoto State, Alhaji Abubakar Umar (Sardaunan Dogondaji), Deputy Secretary Sokoto State, Comrd Muhammad Umar Sanyinna and the PCRC Sokoto State Youth Wing.

At the Zone 10 Headquarters, the Zonal PPRO, Adamu Abass led the National Chairman's entourage to the AIG's office where the August visitor in the month of April was welcomed by AIG Bello Dalijan and his entire management team after formal introductions respectively.

Addressing the AIG, the National Chairman roled out some of the achievements of the PCRC under his leadership 4 months in office now, of which he attributed to the consolidation moves on the foundation layed by the immediate past National Chairman now National Elder, Ambassador Farouk Maiyama PhD (Yariman Jega).

He also acknowledged the overwhelming support currently being received from IGP Usman Alkali Baba so far within the 4 months of his leadership and likened same as equivalent to the 39 years support from 1984 when the PCRC was established by late .IGP Etim Inyang Rtd.

In his response, AIG Bello Dalijan commended in strong terms, the wonderful efforts of the PCRC which according to him, remain visible, clear and unambiguous for every good citizens of the country to see. 

He further mentioned that both himself and other "senior Police officers who have been watching with keen interests and monitoring PCRC activities nationwide are happy with the level at which the current leadership is operating".

The highly elated Zone 10 number 1 Police officer urged the National Chairman and his team to keep up the good work and continue to be that strong and reliable bridge between the Nigeria Police and the Community for every good reasons. 

From Zone 10 Headquarters in Sokoto State, the National Chairman and his entourage visited the Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command, CP Muhammed Usaini Gumel and the AIG in charge of Police Cooperative and currently AIG in charge of Elections, AIG Bello Makwashi respectively. 

AIG Makwashi was a former DC in Ogun State "The Gateway State" under the then Compol Ogun State Police Command now DIG Abdulmajid Ali Rtd. A fantastic and highly intelligent Police officer, AIG Makwashi was loved in Ogun State for his cool but intelligent personality and his potent support for the PCRC anytime needed.

The Zone 10 Police Command was established in December 2002 and located in the North-West Geo-political Zone of Nigeria. It comprises of  Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara State commands. The entire Zone has a total land mass of about 336,355 square kilometers with its headquarters in Sokoto.

Kebbi State which is known as the “Land of Equity”, has a land mass of 36,800 square kilometers covering 21 Local Government Areas with its capital in Birni Kebbi; Sokoto State, known as “Seat of the Caliphate”, has a land mass of 25,973 square kilometers, covering 22 Local Government Areas with its capital in Sokoto; while Zamfara State, known as “Farming is our Pride”, has a land mass of 39,762 square kilometers, covering 15 Local Government Areas with its capital in Guasau.

Also with the National Chairman in Sokoto are National Officials and Appointee such as : 

- Ambassador Mary Samuel Joseph, Deputy National Secretary 

- Alhaji Sadiq Momoh Isa, Assist National Secretary 

- Bala Muawiya Hassan,  National Organizing Secretary and 

- Alhaji Muhammad Aliyu Oro, Immediate Past National Youth Coordinator and National Consultant on Youths Affairs to the National Chairman.
