The Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba has urged police personnel who are yet to receive their election allowances to remain calm as every penny accrued to them will be paid.
Baba, during a meeting with strategic police managers in Abuja on Monday, met with the managements of defaulting DMBs, who were responsible for the delay in payment of 2023 election duty allowances to Police personnel.
In a statement signed by Force Public Relations Officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi this is in furtherance of the IGPs passion to address the alleged delay or non payments of the police personnel election allowances.
According to the Police Accountant and Budgets Department, the banks have been credited as schedules of payment have been dropped with the banks even before the February 25 elections.
He added that even the commencent for the payment of the second tranche for the guber elections will be paid as from today Tuesday 7th February 2023.
SpyeTV News reports Nigeria Police Force on Friday reaffirmed that issues of non-payment should not be ascribed to the Force as the Police Account and Budget Office has done the needful and preparations are underway to pay the second tranche of election allowances for the Gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections next week.
