Following matches held on Tuesday, Nigerian Army NA team Green Beret extended their winning streak 2022/2023 AITEO CUP, emerged the champion of this year edition beating Standard FC after 90min of the game.
Nigerian Army NA Team will be representing Kaduna State at the National level of this year's AITEO cup.
The Army team Green Beret clinched a 2-0 win against Standard FC in the Kaduna State 2023 Aiteo finals came to conclusion on the 19 Mar 23 at Dogorawa township stadium Zaria.
The brace goals were scored by one of the civilian recruited into the team, Mr Ali Jandi who scored the first goal of the game at exactly 43 minutes towards the half time of the game.
He doubled it up 75mins of the game, he was awarded man of the match and most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament.
In his remarks, the Special guest of honour, SGOH, Hon Sani Gambo, who was represented by Honorable Ahmed Balarebe the zonal coordinator of youth sports Zaria, congratulates the Nigerian Army team for displaying a high level of discipline, perseverance among others.
He urged the Nigerian Army NA team not to relent and keep striving to get the ticket into premiership this season.
In addition, the Kaduna State Football Association Chairman, Honorable Abdullahi Sheriff Kassim, congratulated the Acting Director, Physical Training (Army), Brigadier General Olawale Fawole, for his immensely contribution to sports development in Nigeria Army, Nigeria and football community at large.
Honorable Abdullahi Sheriff Kassim therefore pledged to support the NA team come rain come shine.
SpyeTV reports that this year edition comprises of 28 different teams from various local governments in Kaduna state as the Nigerian Army NA team.
Dignitaries at the event includes sport men within Kaduna metropolitan and CAF representative from Abuja were all present at the occasion.
