FC MNJTF Confers Operation Lake Sanity Medals To Troops Of Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai

 

The Force Commander, the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Maj Gen Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim has today 11th August 2022 presented MNJTF Operation LAKE SANITY medals to 9 Officers, 85 Soldiers of SECTOR 1 Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) for their contribution in the just concluded Operation LAKE SANITY.

Earlier, the Force Commander had presented MNJTF Operation LAKE SANITY medals to troops of the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai at the NAF BASE.

He was accompanied on the visit by Heads of Cells of the MNJTF. The FC paid glowing tribute to the courage and professionalism of the ACC whose pilots synergized effectively with the other Air Components of the MNJTF and inflicted heavy casualties on the insurgents, their equipment, and locations noting that they have truly distinguished themselves.

He conveyed his special appreciation to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal IO Amao for his consistent support to the MNJTF while also commending the Commander of the Air Component, Air Commodore EP Efanga for his doggedness, determination, and will to fight and win.

He urged him to continue in this line as plans for MNJTF Operation LAKE SANITY 2 had started. The FC thereafter decorated pilots who took part in the recently concluded Operation LAKE SANITY with the highly coveted Operation LAKE SANITY Medal.

Speaking at the epoch event, the Force Commander MNJTF Maj Gen Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim said, troops honoured today have contributed to the tremendous and overwhelming success MNJTF recorded during the operations and therefore they deserved to be honoured with the medals

Major Gen Khalifah Ibrahim added that MNJTF has carried out several successful major operations since its inception involving other troops contributing countries.

He noted that in the last one year over two hundred thousand (200,000) Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs)/ Refugees have returned to their ancestral homes across the entire region which includes those who fled and have returned to their hometown of Baroua, N’gagam, N’garwa Kaura in Diffa-Niger Republic. Cross Kauwa, Baga and Doron Baga in Borno state – Nigeria, Kolofata, Makari and Fotokol in Cameroon and Madai, Kangalia in Chad amongst many others.

Spye TV News who was at Medal Presentation Parade 2022 Ceremony on 28th July at Headquarters MNJTF Camp Fatcha N’Djamena Chad reports that, over six thousand (6,000) ) personnel from all the Troops Contributing Countries including the Republic of Benin were awarded two (2) categories of medal.

Olayemi Esan reports that the Force Commander had announced during the medal parade in Chad that other troops would be decorated at their various Sectors of MNJTF
