The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Christopher Musa has Charged International and local stakeholders to continue to sensitize the public on the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) programme and efforts of the government in restoring peace and unity in the country.
The Theatre Commander made this charge on Tuesday 19 July, 2022 while chatting with members of the Borno State Emirate Concerned Citizen Forum during a courtesy visit to the Theatre Commander.
The Chairman, Zaina Hassan Boguma of Borno thanked the Theatre Commander for making out time to receive them despite his tight schedules.
While reaffirming the forum's commitment in supporting the Theatre, the Chairman appealed for continuous domination of all spaces by troops of OPHK in order to deny the remnants of the marauding BHT/ISWAP terrorists freedom of action.
The team appreciated the Theatre Commander for the effort and sacrifices of officers and men of OPHK in restoring peace to the State. They also advocated for a holistic National Action Plan for the DDR Programme with particular attention on the victims of insurgency
In his response, Gen Musa encouraged them to take part in the design and implementation of the DDR programme. He also assured them of the Theatre's continues support and cooperation in order to rid Borno State of terrorists and criminal elements and restore the lost pride of the state as the "home of peace".
The visit was attended by Component Commanders, Chief of staff, Principal Staff Officers and Members of the Forum.
