The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army Major General Gold Chibuisi has described the sustainability of the existing collaboration and cooperation among the security agencies in Oyo State as the key to a peaceful environment.
Major General Chibuisi stated this when the new Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Adebiwale Williams paid him a courtesy visit, noting that the cooperation, collaboration and relationships existing between the two agencies need to be replicated and sustained at the various command levels in combating the various insecurity challenges in the country.
The GOC urged for timely information sharing amongst the security agencies to nip any crime in the bud, as well as enjoined the heads of the various commands in the state to educate their surbodinates on the need for collaboration rather than friction and rivalry.
He commended the security and para military agencies in the state for always honouring and participating in the Divisions activities.
He pointed out that such mutual exchange of ideas or concepts from different commands will yield mutual benefits for all.
Earlier, the new Commissioner of Police appreciated the existing cordial relationships between the Division and the Oyo State Police Command. He applauded the assistance of the Nigerian Army to the police in the state at bringing down crime and other related vices, pledging his readiness to cooperate and synergize with other sister services in that direction.
