The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Major General CG Musa has said, all the Chibok girls rescued recently by the troops of the Nigerian Army (NA) in the Theatre of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) will undergo medical tests after which once they are “declared medically fit, they come back to us then they go through the rehabilitation and reintegration program”.
Major General CG Musa disclosed this while presenting the girls on Friday, 29 July, 2022 at media briefing on the recent operation which led to the rescue of the girls Kauna Luka and Hannatu Musa.
He said the Nigerian Army has continue to intensify it's efforts in the fight against insurgency and has in the recent past recorded tremendous successes in it's Kinetic and non kinetic approach towards the insurgents.
Furthermore, General Musa reiterated that " As a result of sustained operations by own troops, many of the terrorists whose camps and enclaves were destroyed during the recent clearance operations have continue to relocate from one enclaves to another seeking for alternative hideouts and temporary shelters across the theatre.
The Theatre Commander disclosed that some of the girls were earlier rescued on June 12 and July 14 respectively during some of it's operations.
In his words, "the command has maintained effective synergy with Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and has continued to work in unison with the Maritime and Air Components, paramilitary establishments, the state government, humanitarian agencies, local communities and the media to provide the much needed support which has immensely resulted in the success recorded so far.
In his word, the General Officer Commanding (GOC, 7 Division) Major General Waidi Shaibu noted that the rescued Chibok girl would be released to their family after rehabilitation.

On the night of the attack in April 2014, 276 female students mostly Christians aged from 16 to 18 were kidnapped by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram from the Government Girls Secondary School at the town of Chibok in Borno State.
About 57 of the schoolgirls escaped immediately following the incident by jumping from the trucks on which they were being transported, while some others have been rescued by the Nigerian Armed Forces on various occasions.
The outrageous event has stirred global outcry with hopes being raised that the over 200 remaining girls might be released, however there are fears that some girls might have already died while in captivity.
