The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Gold Chibuisi has charged the graduating students of the Division Training School that participated in the Basic Battle Course 04/22 to remain focused, dedicated and disciplined to prove the knowledge they have gained in the institution.
Major General Chibuisi gave the charge when declaring the course closed today 24 June 2022 after an impressive demonstration and firing of falling plates by the students at the Major General OF Azinta shooting Range, pointing out that they must be ready to carry out assigned tasks at any given time.
While delivering his remarks at the ceremony, the GOC represented by the Division Chief of Staff Brigadier General Mohammed Wabili, reminded the students that their expertise would be required in the quest of the Nigerian Army to overcome all forms of security challenges confronting the nation.
He opined that the Division will continue to count on their dedication and relentless efforts in achieving the chief of Army Staff vision.
Speaking earlier, the Acting Division Training Officer, 2 Division Training School, Colonel Julius Ogbobe revealed that the major objectives of the eight weeks intensive course has been achieved as shown by the performance of the graduands both in theory and practical.
He said the course contents covered by the students include weapon handling, physical fitness exercises, Combat Medic, Map Reading, minor tactics and Internal Security Operation among others.
The climax of the graduation ceremony was the presentation of certificates to the students by the Special Guest of Honour. Present during the event were Commanders and Staff Officers of the Division.
