The Coordinator National Youth Service Corps Plateau State, Mrs Rifkatu Daniels has solicited for Nigerian Army personnel to train Corps members and ensured discipline at the orientation camp.
Mrs Rifkatu Daniels said this when she paid a courtesy call on the General Officer Commanding 3 Division.
The coordinator's visit was to officially introduce herself to the General Officer Commanding following her assumption of office on 6 June 2022.
Speaking further, the Coordinator appreciated the GOC for supporting NYSC on the Plateau, stating that the Nigerian Army is one of the major stakeholders of the corps.
She equally thanked the GOC for providing instructors who provided training and ensured discipline at the orientation camp .
She thanked the GOC and the Division for being the major employer of the Corps members, especially for taking care of their welfare in the areas of accomodation, stipends and health among others.
She appeal to the GOC support and timely release of personnel especially during orientation camp to enable them have a combined meeting with NYSC Officials and other security agencies in other to forward their report accordingly.
The State Coordinator informed the GOC on the Passing out Parade of Batch B Stream 1 which is slated for 7 July 2022, and promised to write officially to Headquarters 3 Division to solicit for personnel to train Corps members.
The coordinator appreciated the effort of the GOC in ensuring the safety of Corps members in the Barracks. Mrs Rifkatu thanked the GOC for recieving them and granting them audience.
Responding, the GOC welcomed the NYSC State Coordinator and her entourage to Headquarters 3 Division. He commended the conduct and discipline of youth corps members serving in 3 Division. He assured of his continued support to the NYSC.
Present during the visit were Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of the Division.
