Troops Clear More Terrorist Enclaves in Sambisa Forest, Rescue 85 year Old Woman and One Old Man (PHOTOS)

The Nigerian military is recording more success in it’s war against insurgency in the Northeast region of the country.

The troops of Operation Desert Sanity while conducting clearance operation in Sambisa forest rescued two elderly victims from Boko Haram captivity.

A Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst Zagazola Makama reveals that the gallant troops also destroyed camps and logistics warehouses belonging to Boko Haram terrorists.

One of the victim who was an elderly man revealed that he was abducted by the insurgents who forcefully held him hostage for a long time now.

Another victim who is an elderly woman stated that she has been in Boko Haram captivity for more than eight years now.

A military source further said the victims were rescued along with other girls. The source added that Nigerian troops are now occupying Sambisa forest. Mama spent 8 years in Sambisa Forest without good food, water or shelter. Sometimes they sleep on trees to escape attacks. 

"She broke into tears after she was offered a loaf of bread and cold mineral by troops who rescued her", our source said.

The 85 year-old woman was abducted by her son, a Boko Haram Commander from Madagali along with his wife and two children.According to her, She has many rich children, one a medical Dr, and NGO worker

He later ran away and left them when the Nigerian Military Special Forces stormed their enclaves in Ukuba camp.
