A combined team of Military personnel and Police operatives from Suleja, Monday foiled Bandits' attack on Minna-Suleja road, around Lambata-Kwakuti, who reportedly stopped travellers from moving for about two hours.
Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
He said; the bandits were reported to be crossing Suleja road at about 1500hrs from Gbajibe village via Lambata, Gurara LGA”
Abiodun said, some security agencies were mobilized to the scene and engaged the bandits before the hoodlums escaped into the forest.
He said the road was immediately cleared and normalcy restored for free flow of traffic
Reports say, they invaded Kwakuti and took away many motorcycles, attacked neighbouring villages, seized motorcycles and setting houses ablaze
