The President of International Military Sport Council, Brigadier General Herve Piriccillo has reaffirmed the mandate of the organisation under his stewardship to the promotion of peace, and security through sport.
General Herve Piccirillo (France) who is on a working tour in Africa, had paid a courtesy call on President of Organization of Military Sports in Africa, Major General Abdullahi Maikano who doubles as the vice president of the world body.

His mission is to solicite support of Africa in the forthcoming coming elective Congress of CISM scheduled to hold in Peru in May.

General Piccirillo highlighted the importance of Africa to the success of the nations of peace which is to promote friendship through Sports among military globally.
"In CISM, we have more than 50 games, because the sporting activties is to reconnect people, to reconnect the Armed Forces all over the world as our motto says, Friendship Through Sports," he said.
OSMA President General Abdullahi stressed the role of CISM as to foster peaceful coexistence among members nations.
The President of International Military Sport Council, Brigadier General Herve Piriccillo paid a courtesy visit to CISM Headquarters Nigeria where he was received by the CISM Executive Secretary Nigeria Brigadier General Bello and other members of his team at the Defence Headquarters Garrison, Abuja.

General Bello welcome the CISM and OSMA president to Nigeria and briefed him on CISM Nigeria sporting activities. The CISM President also took a tour of the headquarter during which he inspected completed as well as ongoing projects at the CISM Nigeria Secretariat. Gen Piriccillo who was accompanied by Major Delphine Viard from France also interacted with the CISM Staff and left them with some words of encouragement.

The CISM/OSMA delegates also visited the Defence Headquarters Garrison Commander, Major General FB Fakrogha.
General Piccirillo also visited the Director Physical Training and Sports, AVM PD Masiyer at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
AVM PD Masiyer in his remark admonished CISM President to produce Africa Military referees.
Accompanying the CISM President during the visit are the OSMA President who also double as CISM Vice president West Africa, Maj Gen Maikano Abdullahi, OSMA Coordinator and Secretary Wing Commander Ado Mohammed, Lt Commander Funmi Fapectus, Group Captain Garuba, Miss Olayemi Esan OSMA Media Parrner Nigeria and Others.
