Silverbird TV Loses Popular Broadcaster In Abuja

 

A top broadcaster with Silverbird TV and Rhythm FM, Chris Okenwa is dead.

The journalist reportedly died in Abuja after complaining of feeling unwell on Sunday.

The deceased who also anchored MBGN for some time is survived by a wife and two children.

Meanwhile, tributes have been pouring in for late Okenwa from his friends, classmates and associates.

Aigbe OA wrote on Facebook: “It’s been hard to comprehend the passing of my brother, my friend, my undergraduate course mate, Chris Okenwa. He fought it hard. Good news is that Chris was a dedicated Child of God. Heaven will receive him with open arms. My condolences, particularly to his precious wife and two kids.”

Priscilla Doe Roberts wrote: “My handsome colleague and friend is gone. You were one of the best friends who always had a fun thing to say. A great broadcaster. Sleep on bro, Chris Okenwa You will be missed.”

Benjamin Success said: “All your stay on earth, we did not contribute to your breath, you fought a good fight of faith. You have conquered your last enemy, we give God the praise. Chris Okenwa, continue to rest in peace.”

Okechukwu Uzoechi wrote: "Death struck again, this time you took away my friend. My consolation is that you had a relationship with Jesus, your advice to me on 25th Dec. (which was the last day I saw you) is still fresh and I appreciate every word you said that day. My friend, my big brother Chris Okenwa, I will miss you dearly. Rest on."
