The Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi on Thursday tasked Nigerians to cooperate with the military and other security agencies to expose the terrorists, including suspected kidnappers and bandits. He said this the way they could be arrested for prosecutions in the courts' law.
The monarch said this while paying Sallah a courtesy visit to the Acting Governor, Umar Kadafur at Government House, Maiduguri.
He added that only prayers and resilience are the permanent solutions to insecurity in the country.
While reiterating the powers of prayers, he said: “The only permanent solution to insurgency, is to pray to God and save us from these terrorists and other criminal activities that abound in communities, farmlands, and roads.
While responding to monarchs call for prayers, Kadafur said: “If we could dwell on prayers, as suggested by our Royal Father, most of the security challenges be overcome to restore peace in the state.”
He, therefore, urged residents to be security conscious by reporting suspicious groups of people or individuals to security agencies. He noted that Borno had challenges with the power supply since January 25, 2021.
