3 Boko Haram Terrorists Gun Trucks Destroy by Nigerian Air Force in Borno -DHQ

The Defence Headquarter says, the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole has recorded another massive success in fighting the insurgency especially in the North East Zone of Nigeria by destroying no fewer than 3 gun trucks and neutralization of several Boko Haram insurgents at Mainok in Borno State. 

According to a press statement signed by Coordinator, Defence Media Operation,  Major General John Enenche on Wednesday in Abuja, the air operation was executed yesterday, 12 January 2021, sequel to intelligence reports indicating that the Boko Haram Terrorists, in several gun trucks, were traversing the Jakana-Mainok axis of the State. 

Enenche added that the Air Task Force scrambled Nigerian Air Force helicopter gunships to engage the convoy of Terrorist gun trucks and logistics vehicles. 

"The helicopters delivered accurate hits in the target area, resulting in the destruction of 3 of the Boko Haram Terrorists vehicles, some of which were seen engulfed in flames. Several of the terrorists were also eliminated in the process" he said. 

It would be recall that, on January 3rd, the Nigerian Army Launched Operation Taka Taibakum, a subsidiary of Operation Lafiya Dole to theatre the final clearance of insurgency and bandits in the North East Zone of the country.

Therefore, the Armed Forces of Nigeria pledges not to relent until all enemies of the nation are neutralised and normalcy is restored to all troubled zones of the country.
