Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) trended on social media as Nigerians lament the condition under which nursing mothers are staying at the Hospital.
This follows a viral video in which nursing mothers are seen sleeping on the walkway.
Those who reacted decried the situation and said it was shameful. They called on the government to improve the quality of services rendered in hospitals across the country.
Meanwhile, the hospital management has denied the allegation, saying, they were only protecting the nursing mothers from being exposed to COVID-19 as the area in question was being rearranged for COVID-19 patients’ management.

The role of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as the main opposition party in Nigeria has been brought under public scrutiny after the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) challenged other political parties to take the place of the Peoples Democratic Party as the main opposition.
According to Channels Television, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, made the call in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
He said it was not a surprise that those he described as progressive-minded members of the PDP were defecting from the opposition party to the ruling party.
His statement was largely supported on social media, as many Nigerians said that the PDP is as good as dead when it comes to playing the role of opposition party.
They affirmed that in this current state, it would be extremely difficult for the PDP to wrestle power from the APC, because it completely lacks knowledge on how to play opposition politics in such a way as to endear it to Nigerians.

President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Mr Akinwumi Adesina, was vigorously opposed on social media after he rose in defence of former military Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, on looting allegations levelled against him.
British Member of Parliament, Tom Tugendhat, had alleged that Gowon looted half of Nigeria’s treasury when he was ousted from office in a coup and fled for the United Kingdom.
The revelation by Tugendhat generated interest among many young Nigerians, who felt the information was deliberately omitted from Nigeria’s history to portray Gowon as a hero.
Adesina in Gowon’s defence, said he was a man of integrity and impeccable character.
Those who disareed with Adesina, urged him to step aside and allow Gowon defend himself.
