Everton to discuss manager future this week, ex-boss desperate to return
According to the rumours, the former Everton and Manchester United coach David Moyes is keen to return to Everton as Martinez has come under heavy pressure this term, with his club set for a second successive bottom-half finish.

The Sun stresses that Moyes spent 11 successful years at Goodison Park before replacing Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United boss in 2013, a post that did not work out well for the Scot.
The source reports that Moyes, who is also on Aston Villa and Celtic’s managerial shortlists, has reportedly told friends he would relish a move back to Everton. The former Everton coach has been accused of failing to meet with Man United’s standards since he was employed.
Moyes’ tactics were said to be always reactive rather than forcing their style on the opposition. The Scot had an awful record against top teams while at Everton, and when this continued at United with humbling a against bitter rivals Liverpool and City the majority of fans had turned. He completely failed to drum up support within the squad, who rather than rally when the going got tough simply wilted even further.
The Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal, who has another year left on his contract after this season, has been heavily criticised by fans of the Red devils and also in the media, raising speculation about his future at United. However, David Moyes said: “I don’t think Manchester United should become a sacking club. I was disappointed when I lost my job after 10 months. Manchester United have always stood for much greater things than sacking their managers regularly. I don’t think they should.”
