A woman identified as Oluwatoyin has been arrested by police operatives in Lagos for assaulting her six-month- old pregnant neighbour with hot water.
The incident occurred at 3, Gbagada Road, Bariga, after the two women had a scuffle.
She was alleged to have poured the water on the face and body of Rukayat Osuolanle, who was said to be recuperating in a hospital.
Oluwatoyin after bathing the victim with water, was said to have dipped one of her hands inside another hot water, alleging that the pregnant woman did it.
Unfortunately, her bid to paint a picture of self defense was unsuccessful, and she was arrested by policemen in Bariga, who arraigned her in court for assault.
She reportedly pleaded guilty before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court to charges of assault, occasioning harm against her and was consequently remanded in police custody till October 14 for sentencing.
