Osun Based Fuji Star Akeem Okiki wins Fuji to Bam, gets N750,000

An Osogbo, Osun State-based fuji artiste, Akeem Okiki, has become N750, 000 richer for winning the 2015 edition of Goldberg Fuji to Bam music contest.
Okiki was crowned at the Trans Amusement Park, Ibadan, where the grand finale of the competition held.
It was a gathering of top fuji singers that included Wasiu Ayinde (K1 De Ultimate) and Abass Obesere, both of who performed to the delight of the crowd attracted to the park.
Besides, the fiesta organised by Nigerian Breweries Plc had in attendance Yoruba actors, such as Odunlade Adekola, who was the compere; Sanyeri, who was a judge; Bolaji Amusan (Mr. Latin) and Adekola Tijani and Kamilu Kompolo.
Two other young fuji acts, Saheed Ishola, from Ota, Ogun State; and Ibadan-based Opeyemi Akanbi, also got N350,000 and N250,000, respectively, for emerging second and third.

At the event that also featured Yoruba poetry (ewi) rendition, a tribute to Goldberg, the Public Affairs Adviser, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Kufre Ekanem, said, “Goldberg has delivered on its promises of staging the biggest fuji concerts you can ever think of. It has been a night of pure and nothing but faaji unlimited. This massive crowd confirms the relevance of the platform, and the need to continue to connect and share consumer’s interest in a more compelling way.”
Okiki noted that the competition was keen, but thanked God and his talent for seeing him through.
He promised his fans that he would not rest on his oars.
