Inauguration: Police lock out journalists, workers from National Assembly

Ahead of the inauguration of the 8th Legislature of the
National Assembly today (Tuesday) in Abuja, the Police have
condoned off the National Assembly complex, barring no fewer
than 2,000 people from gaining entry into the complex.
Those denied entry by the overzealous police operatives
include journalists, who will cover the inauguration, and
essential duty workers.
President Muhammadu Buhari will proclaim the 8th National
Assembly at a ceremony, starting by 10am today.
