Cobhams Asuquo is an award-winning music
producer-cum-singer. He’s instrumental to Asa’s
2007 debut album which became an international
hit. Blind from birth, Cobhams had in an
interview said “he always had a keen ear for
music and would coax a tune from anything he
could get his hands on.” He is the CEO and head
of productions of Cobhams Asuquo Music
Productions (Camp), an all-encompassing
entertainment empire.
Lately, the 34-year-old has taken to unwinding
with Yoruba movies. So in love is he with them
that he watched about 4 movies last Friday. In
his tweets, Cobhams said, “Yoruba home videos
have remained consistent in delivering hilarious
comedy and sharing life’s lessons from an
African perspective. I’m running late for my
appointment because I’m watching a Yoruba
movie! What is this? This is my third today.I just
finished watching the most moving Yoruba
movie I’ve seen in years on Africa magic titled
Ero Omo Elemoso.Now eating rice and watching
my fourth Yoruba movie for the day.”
