Update on ELECTION Postponement: Council of State meeting ongoing after 6hours as INEC Spokesman says Election will hold on February 14th

INEC spokesman Nick Dazan has told BBC that
the electoral body will conduct the elections on
14th February 2015. Disclosing this on Twitter,
Akwasi Sarpong, a journalist at BBC World
Service, tweeted that,” Nigeria’s electoral
commission spokesman Nick Dazan says INEC
will not postpone Feb 14 poll.Nick Dazan, Nigeria
EC spokesman: Nearly 50 million voters
registered. Nearly 20 million still expected to
register before poll.” The Council of State
meeting where a major decision on the
forthcoming general elections is expected to be
taken is ongoing inside the Presidential Villa,
Abuja. The meeting started at about 11.30am
today.
