Holy shiz! This is incredible!
Even though The Interview didn't make TOO much money from theater showings during it's opening days that didn't mean people weren't interested in the film! But it WAS the Christmas holiday AKA people wanted to watch James Franco and Seth Rogen kill Kim Jong-un from the comfort of their own homes!
Which is exactly what they did because Sony made a record $15 million from it's online distribution in just four days! How CRAZY is that?!?
Reportedly, the film was bought or rented more than two million times from Thursday through Saturday on Xbox Live, Google Play, YouTube, and Sony's own website for the film!
That has never happened for a big-name movie like this! Though, we gotta say, all the hype of the "will they/won't they release it" had to have helped sales out just a bit!
