A source close to the campaign organisation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, just confirmed that the retire general has picked the current governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi as his running mate for the next year presidential elections.
Amaechi, a Christian from the South-oouth zone, it was gathered, was a major financing and logistic supporter of Buhari during the just concluded party’s primary to pick its presidential flag bearer.
The Rivers State Governor defected to the APC from the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after he publicly fel out with the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience Jonathan.
