This is not a hype for Wizkid but the report we received from a Nairobian website; Standardmedia, Wizkid who was in Nairobi over the weekend for a show and to shoot two videos was arrested for smoking weed in the hotel he lodged where smoking is prohibited. He was busted when he was checking out of the Nairobi Crown Plaza hotel after it was discovered that he smoked the illegal substance. The arrest took place on Saturday afternoon by about 1pm which was only hours before his flight back to Lagos. He was first quizzed by the hotel manager on why he smoked the illegal substance and that led to a serious argument after which the security called the police.
When the police came, they insisted he will have to follow them to their station; Capital Hill Police Station after they handcuffed him. He had to pay a fine of Sh50, 000 to the hotel through his credit card. Victoria had been with the 'on top your matter' singer at the hotel the previous day and was there to check him out. Wizkid was due to leave for Lagos at around 3pm and was forced to cancel the flight due to the drama.
