Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has been ranked as the 14th best coach in the world by Football Coach World Ranking for September.
The rankings placed Keshi as the best national team coach in Africa ahead of sacked Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
Keshi moved up two places from last the rankings despite not earning any point this month, while Appiah moved up one place to 32nd in the latest rankings.
The rankings of the top 50 coaches is dominated by coaches who coached at the World Cup with the top 15 almost exclusively for coaches who excelled at the World Cup.
World Cup winner Joachim Low of Germany tops the rankings and he is followed by Spain’s Vicente Del Bosque in second place while Oscar Tabarez of Uruguay placed third.
The rankings favour coaches who are active in their jobs while those who have been jobless freely tumble down the ranking.
