It's no secret that Joan Rivers leaves some pretty big shoes to fill on E!'s "Fashion Police."
Who better to step in than the late comedian's longtime pal, Kathy Griffin?
The 53-year-old comedian and Rivers' protégé is currently the frontrunner to fill the hosting post on the fashion show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

But hers is not the only name being tossed around for the position, although there's no more information.
What is for sure is that E! has three months to fill the gig as the show is set to return for the Golden Globes on Jan. 12.

Joan Rivers is a pretty hard act to follow. And since her sudden and tragic death recently, people have also been wondering what might happen to her hilarious talk show, Fashion Police. And now there may be an answer.

However, no formal discussions with any candidates have taken place. Rivers' passing Sept. 4 is still so new that the network executives reportedly feel the need to respectfully wait a bit longer before really diving into finding her replacement.

Melissa Rivers, Joan's only daughter and executive producer of the show, will certainly be involved in the selection process.
