Briefing journalists after the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, the minister of information, Labaran Maku, said the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Anyim Pius Anyim briefed council on preparation for the fund raising launch.
The fund will be launched at a Presidential Fund Raising dinner which will be held at the banquet hall of the State House Abuja.

It can be recalled that the President had set up a committee that will administer the fund, headed by Gen Theophilus .Y Danjuma.
Inaugurating the committee a forth night ago, the President had noted that the decision to set up the Victims Support Fund was borne out of a need to provide a framework through which all persons and institutions that wish to help mitigate the pains men and women are going through for no fault of theirs.
“We will ensure that those, who have suffered unjustly in the hands of terrorists can, in our little way, be consoled”, he said.
Urging Nigerians to contribute to the fund in every little way they can, Maku noted that "From what is realised government will also provide some money to support the save school initiatives".
