You don’t need to be an actress before you can indulge in runs. It is all about personal desires and what you want as a person. It is because of our exposure and the roles we play that we are tagged bad eggs. I believe that is the price we have to pay for fame.
Why some actresses’ marriages failIf any marriage works, it has nothing to do with your job. Even pastors’ marriages break. Our profession has nothing to do with our marriage. It is all about the parties involved and the choices they made. Being wayward really has nothing to do with the people around you or where you are. It is your choice and whether you do it are money or pleasure, whether. You are lured or willing, it is still your decision. So, don’t judge everyone based on assumptions. You can never tell.
Foray into actingI used to be a fan of Kunle Afod, so I got his number from one of his films and called him. That was how I joined his group. That was in 2006. I, however, had two years break to attend to my family but came back in 2008. So, I have been in this profession for eight years.
Challenges There are lots of producers, actors and so on in the industry so, you have to strive hard to be relevant. It takes lots of perseverance, determination and hard work. Personally, I saw all the challenges as a ladder to get to the top and that was the reason I didn’t dwell on them. I can’t really pinpoint the challenges because they were bound to occur.
First experience on set It was fun because I had been facing crowd since I was a child. I sing, dance and act in church. So, I was not nervous or overwhelmed.
Pornographic moviesI can’t act nude for any amount neither can I feature in a pornographic movie.
Most embarrassing thing a fan did to meI was almost torn apart at Dosunmu market because of the role I played in my film; MofeOluwa. Apparently, they were discussing the movie and gisting those about it when I surfaced to buy somethings. While leaving, someone just called Mofe and the moment I turned to answer, they all started shouting and raining abuses on me, I had to look for a way of escape. I had a cut on my right hand at the end of the whole thing.
Pains and gains of being a celebrityThe pain is that everyone wants your attention at the same time. They all want your number, everyone wants to get close to you and if you want to exercise caution, they will see you as being arrogant. Also, you can’t do things freely, because you know that people are watching you. The gains are exposure and favour. People will always give you preferential treatment.
Combining acting with the home frontAll thanks to God, my husband, in-laws, parents and siblings. They have been helping me but whenever I am not at location, you will always meet me at home. That was the vow I made to myself.
How my husband feels when I act romantic rolesMy husband is a very matured man. All he says is; “just be careful and know what you are doing”.
