The remains of Chief (Mrs) Felicia Modupe Adeniyi, Mother of the wife of Ondo State Governor, Olukemi Mimiko was on Friday committed to mother earth in Ondo Kingdom.
Venue of the funeral service, The Cathedral Church of St Stephen, Oke-Aluko, Ondo was filled to capacity as dignitaries from all walks of life graced the occasion.In his sermon at the service, the Bishop of Ondo Diocese and Archbishop of Ondo Ecclesiastical Province, the Most Reverend Latunji Lasebikan, who urged the congregation to serve God dutifully to inherit eternity, said late Madam Felicia Adeniyi lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation......Continue
Speaking after the church service, Governor Olusegun Mimiko described his late mother-in-law as a virtuous woman who used her entire life to serve humanity.
On her part, daughter of the deceased, Olukemi Mimiko said her late mother was a devout Christian, caring and loving mother who will be greatly missed.
Dignitaries at the event include, wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan, Chief of Staff to the President, Brigadier General Jones Arogbofa (Rtd), Governors Idris Wada of Kogi State, Jonah Jang of Plateau State, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa-Ibom State and Liyel Imoke of Cross River State.
Others are; Minister of State for Power, Hon Mohammed Wakil, Special Adviser to the President on Inter-Party Affairs, Senator Ben Obi, representative of the Vice President Namadi Sambo, National and State Assembly members, former governors among others.
