stakeholders led by Alhaji Waheed Olumo of Olumo Records, Alhaji
Mo-Saheed of MoSaheed Records, Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria
(FUMAN), Islamic Musicians Association Of Nigeria,(ISMAN), Musical
Instrument Rentals Association and others have appealed to the President
of Music Advertisers Association Of Nigeria, MAAN, Alhaji Waheed
Oyediran and Fuji Musician Saheed Osupa to sheathe their swords and
embrace peace.This appeal was made recently during a stakeholders meeting held at the Abalti Barracks in Lagos.
During
the meeting which was convened by the Music Label Owners Association of
Nigeria, MULOAN, Alhaji Olumo and Mo-Saheed urged the Alhaji Waheed
Oyediran a.k.a. Mosebolatan-led MAAN to lift the ban on the Fuji
musician, Saheed Osupa and that both parties should embrace peace.
MULOAN
executive council led by its president, Elder Joel Ajayi, supported by
the Public Relations Officer, Tunde Oselu of Thunderbolt Visions and the
Assistant Secretary, Rotimi Babatunde, reiterated the association’s
position on the issuance of logo.
Ajayi said the
suspension has nothing to do with the feud between MAAN and Saheed but
it became necessary to check its abuse and to pave way for a more
effective and transparent process of issuing the logo, adding that logo
is not a condition for replicating companies to produce their jobs.
“We
also enjoin all artistes, promoters, marketers, distributors and
retailers to release and sell their musical CDs, without logo until
further notice,” he said.
