In Ebonyi State, two suspected armed robbers were arrested, with police recovering a locally made pistol and cash from them.
Similarly, police detectives in Ekiti State arrested two suspects over the alleged defilement of a 14-year-old girl. The suspects reportedly confessed to the offence, while the victim was taken to hospital for medical examination and treatment.
In Ogun State, police arrested a rape suspect following a report of the alleged offence. The victim was issued a medical report form for examination and treatment.
Other operations recorded the recovery of another stolen vehicle in Kaduna, the arrest of a suspect and recovery of a suspected stolen motorcycle in Akwa Ibom, and the recovery of weapons and other items following an attempted armed robbery in Jigawa.
