The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated 30 Airmen and Airwomen from the Basic Air Traffic Control Assistant Course 24/2026 at the Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC), Kaduna.
The intensive training, which commenced on June 15, 2026, combined classroom instruction, continuous assessments and practical exercises designed to equip the participants with essential skills for effective Air Traffic Services.
The graduands recorded a 100 per cent success rate, with an overall class average of 82.6 per cent. Their training covered Air Traffic Management, Navigation, Meteorology, Communications, Aeronautical Information Services, as well as Radio and Radar Procedures.
As part of the programme, the participants also undertook educational visits to the 401 Flying Training School and Hassan Usman Katsina International Airport to gain practical exposure to air operations.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Commandant of ATSTC, Air Vice Marshal NB Folaji, charged the new Air Traffic Control Assistants to uphold diligence, discipline and teamwork in the discharge of their duties.
The 30 graduates will now proceed to designated operating fields for further practical, on-the-job training, where they are expected to apply their acquired knowledge and skills in support of Nigerian Air Force air operations.
