Troops of Sector 8, Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP), have intercepted four cattle allegedly found grazing on farmland without a herder at Manja community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The troops, while conducting a fighting patrol at about 7:00 a.m. on Sept. 9, 2026, acted following a report of a foiled attack on the community.
The cattle were found unattended on a farmland and were subsequently moved by the troops to a secure location to prevent possible escalation of tension in the area.
Efforts are ongoing to engage Fulani leadership in the area to establish the identity of the cattle owner and facilitate their recovery by the rightful owner-By: Zagazola Makama
