Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered a large quantity of motorcycle spare parts and other items allegedly destined for Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists operating in the Yunusari-Mobbar general area of Yobe State.

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following credible human intelligence on the movement of logistics supplies believed to be intended for terrorist elements.

According to a statement by the Acting Military Information Officer, Captain Mohammed Goni, troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2, OPHK, working with other security personnel, mobilised a fighting patrol and intercepted the suspected logistics consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area.

Among the items recovered were large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets.

Other recovered motorcycle components included speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers, fuel-related components and other spare parts.

Troops also recovered 145 pairs of footwear and two Tecno Android phones, among other items.

The military said the suspects and recovered items had been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation and necessary action.

The interception, according to the statement, represents another effort by troops to disrupt terrorist logistics networks and deny insurgents the critical supplies required to sustain their operations.

Operation HADIN KAI said it remains committed to dismantling terrorist support networks across the North East Theatre and urged members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
