The Niger State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew across the state and ordered the immediate suspension of all mining activities until further notice.
The directives take effect immediately after Friday’s Jummat prayer and are part of measures aimed at addressing the prevailing security situation and restoring safety across the state.
Under the curfew, residents are required to remain indoors and comply with all security directives issued by the government and security agencies.
The government urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security personnel as authorities work to restore normalcy across the state.
