The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the final list of successful candidates for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) in the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.
The announcement was contained in a press statement issued by the National Public Relations Officer of the Service, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, who urged candidates to verify their status through the official NCS website and designated national newspapers.
According to the statement, successful applicants are advised to visit the official NCS website, www.customs.gov.ng, to confirm their selection and obtain details of the next stage of the recruitment process.
The Service also disclosed that successful candidates will receive further instructions via their registered email addresses and SMS notifications. Upon receiving the notification, candidates are required to log on to update.customs.gov.ng using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.
The portal for uploading medical certificates will be activated on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and candidates are expected to complete the process within one week of the activation date.
In addition, successful candidates must update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept their provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button. After completing these steps, they are to await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which the Service said will be communicated within one week.
The Nigeria Customs Service noted that further information on documentation, physical screening, including dates, venues and requirements, will be communicated through official channels.
The Service warned candidates to strictly adhere to all instructions and timelines, stressing that failure to comply with any of the requirements could result in disqualification and forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.
On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated all successful candidates, urging them to prepare for a career built on professionalism, integrity, and dedicated service to the nation.
