The operation, conducted under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, targeted identified criminal hideouts and black spots within the Jimeta and Yola metropolitan areas as part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and rid communities of criminal elements.

The police said the suspects were arrested for offences ranging from Shilla-related activities and public nuisance to possession of dangerous weapons and involvement with prohibited substances.

During the raid, operatives recovered various dangerous weapons and suspected banned substances from the suspects. The exhibits have been documented and will serve as evidence during prosecution.

The Command confirmed that all 57 suspects have been charged to court, while profiling and further investigations are ongoing to determine their possible involvement in other criminal activities.
