Fresh viral videos circulating online have exposed notorious drug blackspots in the Jeddo area of Warri and Otuokoto area of Agharo, following recent police raids targeting criminal hideouts linked to the sale and abuse of illicit substances

The disturbing footage from Jeddo, Warri, shows a long-standing drug spot and ghetto located beside a popular restaurant, described by residents as a known haven for drug peddlers and users for several years.
According to sources, the hideout, which reportedly shares a fence with the restaurant, had become a centre for the sale, abuse, consumption and distribution of illicit drugs before it was recently raided by police operatives acting on intelligence.
The operation was said to have been led by DCP Adejobi alongside teams from the Crack Squad, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), and Buffalo Squad. Security sources described the location as a “dungeon” used by criminal elements to coordinate illegal drug activities in the area.
Observers have also raised questions over how such a notorious blackspot allegedly operated for years within close proximity to a commercial establishment without being reported to security agencies.
In a related development, another viral video has revealed the aftermath of a police raid on an abandoned house in Otuokoto area of Agharo, allegedly used as a drug base by a suspected drug dealer identified by locals as “Nurse Tega.”
Police sources said the abandoned building had been under intelligence surveillance for some time due to its alleged use as a hub for the distribution of illicit drugs to youths and other members of the community.
The video reportedly captured empty bottles of codeine syrup and remnants of other suspected illicit substances believed to have been consumed at the location.
Authorities maintained that suspects arrested in and around the premises should not be hastily exonerated, insisting that the recovered items have already been documented and tendered as exhibits as investigations continue.
The latest discoveries underscore growing concerns over the spread of drug abuse and illicit drug networks in parts of Delta State, especially in residential communities where abandoned structures and hidden spots are allegedly being converted into centres of criminal activity.
Residents and stakeholders have continued to call for sustained enforcement operations, stronger community vigilance, and increased collaboration with security agencies to dismantle drug syndicates and protect young people from substance abuse.
Police authorities have indicated that more revelations and possible arrests may follow as investigations deepen.
