The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), has successfully repelled a terrorist assault on military positions in Rann, Borno State, in the early hours of Friday.
According to the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was executed following credible intelligence on the movement of insurgents. Coordinated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Air Interdiction (AI) missions were launched in close collaboration with ground troops.
Clusters of fleeing terrorists were tracked and engaged with precision munitions, resulting in the neutralisation of several insurgents. The swift air support restored calm to the embattled area and thwarted further escalation.
Air Commodore Ejodame reaffirmed the NAF’s “unwavering commitment to providing close air support, safeguarding troops, and swiftly neutralising insurgent threats across the North-East.”
