The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Zone 7 chapter has elected and inaugurated its new executives to serve first tenure of four years.
The PCRC Zone 7, which comprises Niger and the FCT, elected Otunba Adibu Emmanuel as chairman and was inaugurated by the body‘s national chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Olaniyi, at the PCRC national headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Mogaji Olaniya. charged them to impact the zone in the first three months so that they would be confirmed as executives.
He warned against laziness, arrogance, power confrontation, and vindictiveness when discharging their duties.
He charged the new executives with providing infrastructure and welfare for the PCRC Zone 7 office in Abuja and the Nigeria Police Force personnel in Niger and Abuja.
He pledged to support their activities, noting that as the national chairman, he is a member of all PCRC zones in different states.
In his remarks, the chairman, Otunba Emmanuel, pledged to go beyond the target set for them by the national body.
He also appreciated the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetukun and pledged total commitment to ensuring support for police activities and welfare.
The PCRC urged all stakeholders, including government, police, communities, and civil society, to deepen trust and institutionalize community-driven approaches to enhance safety and security in neighborhoods across
