The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Congratulates Lieutenant Colonel Anele Onyechi On Her Recent Appointment As Director Public Relation For Nigerian Army. And hails the Chief of Army Staff for approving this huge feat.
In a historic move, the Nigerian Army appointed Lieutenant Colonel Anele Onyechi Appolonia as the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, the first female Officer to hold this position.
Lt Col Anele, who is a member of Direct Regular Course 15 and an active member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), will officially assume office as head of public relations on 22 April 2025.
NAWOJ National Chairperson, Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim, states that this trailblazing achievement marks a significant milestone in the Nigerian Army’s journey towards gender inclusivity and diversity.
While speaking to journalists in Abuja, Ibrahim extended the warmest congratulations to the newly appointed director on this remarkable accomplishment. Adding that her appointment is a testament to her exceptional skills, dedication, and expertise in public relations.
In a sttaement signed by NAWOJ National Secretary, Wasilah Ladan, the NAWOJ Boss further said this achievement will serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration to young women aspiring to leadership roles in the military and other endeavors.
