Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council has joined thousands of Nigerian Journalists in felicitating with the National President of NUJ Comrade Alhassan Yahaya on the Seventieth anniversary of the Union.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the Union, the State Secretary of NUJ Comrade Usman Chiji says the anniversary is special given the enormous contributions of Journalists to nation building.
The message specifically commended the National President of NUJ Comrade Alhassan Yahaya for sustaining the legacy of the Union and also building on the achievements of the past leaders of the Union.
Comrade Usman Chiji pointed out that, within the period under review, journalists in Niger State have played prominent role in the affairs of the Union.
It assured that, journalists in Niger State would continue to uphold the code of ethics of the profession to enable members hold people in the corridors of power accountable for their deeds.
