Maigari's journey began in 2016 when she graduated from the NDA and was commissioned as a Sub Lieutenant. She subsequently served aboard the Nigerian Navy Ship Unity and completed her basic pilot training, fulfilling all requirements to become a certified pilot.

As one of the first 20 female regular cadets trained at the NDA, Maigari's success is an inspiration to female officer cadets and indeed all Nigerian girls.
